Wife Beverly died this morning.

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. She wouldn't stop smoking. Couldn't fix that. Lack of exercise was also a problem.
oximeter was 62 3 days ago. Very bad. It was under 90 a year ago, which is also bad.
I'm working through the details now with my Stepdaughter. RIP

I'm really okay with it. She chose a path that I couldn't fix. Will be cremated and her collection of Buddhist books will be donated back to her place of worship. Might be a memorial but I don't know and don't plan to attend. We were in the middle of a divorce because she wouldn't move with me.
At least she isn't in pain anymore.
