Solutions to the new normal of our fire season

This is now the 3rd or 4th year in a row that west coast wildfires have killed people, destroyed considerable property, transformed the outdoor landscape, interrupted travel plans and blanketed us with choking smoke that has a real health impact.

Regardless of what we end up doing about this I think the first step forward is to open a dialogue that avoids the typical left vs right finger pointing. I for one am getting tired of spending every late summer/fall breathing this melange of toxins.

The solution is to stop global climate change. It's nice to say that you want to avoid "left vs right finger pointing," but this is an issue where the right is beyond wrong.

Political solutions are needed. You can vote and give money to anybody who is not a Republican.

If you want to make a difference yourself, stop driving SUVs and trucks! It is sickening to see "outdoor enthusiasts" at trailheads, doing their best to destroy it all with 10mpg, trash-the-planet vehicles.

I see it as an environmentalist issue for not actually allowing logging and good forest mgmt.
Also on the homeowners who constantly ignore the defensible space requests.

And I am a Republican. I see Newsom has been doing a bag up job prepping for each fire season in CA. NOT!

Neither party can stop lightning though, just to be fair.

Can you all come up with some real, scientifically backed solutions (fact checked), that are interesting/creative ideas, otherwise why even post one liners to this thread, they are just useless and only incite.

At the risk of being deleted again and I guess banned from the forums, I'm going to post my personal solution again. A solution that is evidently politically charged without referring to any political party or politician or hot political topic. However, having reviewed it a day later now, I can't for the life of me find anything political about it. So, here goes.

I'm sure we have all seen people making fires where they shouldn't have and people failing to put out fires when they should have. Given the events of the recent years, I am committed to educating said morons. I won't be silent any longer. If all of us responsible people put pressure on the irresponsible, we can make a difference.
