High tech firefighting

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Using mules to deliver supplies leaves the helicopters free for other critical missions. Plus mules work in all kinds of weather.

This fire is deep in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Normally it would be a modified suppression/confine strategy, but due to Covid and other factors it is being fully suppressed. So base camps are set up in the Wilderness to support the firefighting.

The view from my classroom at the college this evening. The fire is 20-30 miles away. Big fire.
