Love this thread! Here is my dog Chopper, a 7yo golden retriever. We have been hiking together since he was born. I'm very jealous of his natural coat that protects him well from the blood-suckers.

This is Clyde Dog. We have only had him for about 7 months, his age is 15 months, and he's just about ready for his 1st over night adventure!

He wouldn't look at me. I think he wants to scramble up Round Top!

Pretty soon you will have to get him fitted with a dog pack.

I thought about getting him a pack but in reality he doesn't eat much or need much so I will just carry his gear and not spend the $80 or whatever for a pack. Since he is a little guy I won't be taking him on big missions anyway so I can carry a little extra weight.

Jeff- My favorite part of the whole shutdown nonsense was going to NV beach every week and having it empty. Sand Harbor was nice too but not empty like NV Beach
