From last September. North Peak with Mt Conness at frame left from no name pond. With the long ridge on the right, it was an ideal subject for creating this extra wide reflection. Before I as a retired person bother with the long drive and effort to work such subjects, I'll carefully check weather sites that forecast a morning with calm breezes, especially wunderground dot com 10-day. Sony A6000, image is 45 shot focus stack blend of 5 frames, 5 column 1 row stitch blend, 15700 by 6000 pixels so the above 1570 pixel wide downsized web version is 1/10 actual pixel dimensions. My Sigma 30mm lens angle of view was barely able to get both the peak top and full reflection in. The white metamorphic geology areas middle ground is a band of marble with below a crop at 50% pixels:

Off trail southwest of Pinchot Pass, about 15 minutes west of the JMT, heading to an unnamed lake at 11,500 ft. Mount Wynne is the big peak in this image, while my destination was in the other direction. The tarn in the image can be seen from Pinchot Pass.
About 5 weeks and I hope to be back in the Sierra. Still have to come up with a route and game plan for the time I have in August, but it should be pretty epic this year after all that snow.
