The forest just extended the closure order STF-16-2019-07 for Crabtree Road due to continued snow. Estimates are by June 30 the road should open. See the closure order and map at https://go.usa.gov/xUvWQ.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

The road is open to the Gianelli/Crabtree junction as of yesterday.

As of 7/7 the road to Crabtree Trailhead was still closed at the Gianelli/Crabtree junction.
Morning 7/4 there were many cars (almost 100?) parked by the side of the road. Some people camped in tents there. Afternoon 7/7 most cars were gone.
