High rent for apts.+rooms in Bishop
Was thinking about spending a few months in Owen's valley during winter to enjoy the snow but the rents in Bishop for a room or apartment are similar to LA.Am I just looking in the wrong places?Im seeing 800$ for a private room in a humble abode!

It's still in California. This state sucks at building housing.
Lots of rural areas are bad at the internet. Go visit, pickup the apartment guide, do legwork/phonework.
