We've got an 8 month old Alaskan Malamute that we recently adopted from a family that was getting ready to turn him into the local high kill shelter. At first he was indifferent to the wife's cats, but it seems like a switch has tripped and when they scurry about it's triggered his prey drive in the last week. We're keeping them separate but from talking to some very knowledgeable Malamute owners it's not a matter of if but when things will go pear shaped and he ends up hurting or killing one of them. My wife rescued them as tiny kittens and bottle fed them after the feral mom had abandoned them. That being said we sadly need to re-home him

Smart dog, lots of energy. He gets along well with our 9 year old lab/dane mix, other than when he's just being an annoying puppy. He's become my running buddy and does great on a lead and is taking to training very well. I was working with him so he could be my cool weather hiking buddy

If anyone is looking or know of someone that could provide Koda with a good forever home please let me know. Located in Socal, but willing to make the drive and help bring him to the right family.
