Bubbs creek/Avalanche pass trail area
I just got word from Oleander that she exited this area this morning and wound up hiking about a quarter mile through fire area. Trees on fire here and there and one spot where the fire jumped the trail. The trail was not closed at the time, but if you are planning to hike in through Bubbs creek, you may want to call ahead to see if there is a fire closure in affect.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.

Re: Bubbs creek/Avalanche pass trail area
Hi All,
I just called the SEKI wilderness office and got an update. The Bubbs Creek trail will be fully open either later today, or at least starting tomorrow. It was closed last week due to the North Bubbs Creek Fire, and then was partially opened the last few days---rangers were escorting hikers through the short active burn area. Apparently these problems are under control, and Bubbs Creek is now fine for hiking.
