H-80 responded to Mt Whitney again today for a hiker with altitude sickness. He was located on the trail between Mt. Whitney and Mt. Russell at an elevation of 12,000 feet (pressure altitude) and a density altitude of 14,950 feet. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) had affected the hiker to the point he could no longer walk or self rescue. H-80 was able to make an offsite landing near the trail and transported the hiker to Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine for treatment.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
