As of today, 8/02, the west 120 entrance into the park is closed at Crane Flat...no west entrance to Yosemite. The only entrance is over Tioga...and the smoke is terrible. Some talk about closing Tuolumne Meadows too.

120 Closure Update 8/2
Yosemite NP:

The Big Oak Flat Road, west of Crane Flat, was closed overnight due to operations related to the Ferguson Fire. At this time we do not have any information about when it will re-open but hope to re-evaluate the area tomorrow. Currently the only public access into Yosemite is via Tioga Pass from Highway 120 from the east. The Tioga Road remains open to Crane Flat. For current road conditions, visit the park website: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/conditions.htm or call 209/372-0200 (press 1, then 1 again).
Yes, and a first, it's also only the beginning of fire season! This is getting out of hand

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Hwy 120 Re-opens
Yosemite NP:
We're excited to announce that Tioga Road, as well as Big Oak Flat Road west of Crane Flat (continuation of Highway 120 through the park) will open today at 1 pm. Use caution driving on these roads; firefighters are still at work.
Hodgdon Meadow, Crane Flat, and Tamarack Flat Campgrounds remain closed. Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Mariposa Grove, Glacier Point, Hetch Hetchy, and Merced Grove remain closed. You may encounter smoky conditions.
