...Air quality concerns continue but some areas will see
improvement...
Fires in California and western Nevada continue producing smoke and haze. Some improvement in air quality is likely as winds increase, which should help mix pollutants out of some valley locations. However, areas downwind from large active fires including the Carr Fire near Redding, the Whaleback Fire near Eagle Lake, the Perry fire south of Pyramid Lake, and the Ferguson Fire near Yosemite NP, will still experience areas of poor visibility and reduced air quality, especially over portions of Lassen and Mono counties.
It is best to avoid prolonged exposure if possible, and reconsider outdoor activities at this time, especially if you`re in the path of a large smoke plume. Follow your local sources for air quality information, such as airnow.gov, Washoe County Air Quality Management District, and Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District to name a few, and heed health related guidelines that are provided by these groups.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
