Since the Florence Ferry starts this coming Friday, I'm heading out to clear the trail to the park boundary, 7.6 miles, and volunteers are welcome...
PPE and tools can be provided. Protective Personal Equipment for crosscut work consists of hard hat, work gloves, long pants/sleeves (it will be buggy so those should also be treated with permethrin and additional measures at the ready such as DEET or headnet), and safety glasses or sturdy sunglasses that provide coverage of the eye. We have some safety goggles and hard hats to loan.
Ferry will be FREE to our trail crew.

Re: Do a little or do a lot - help the trail crew in Sierra
This week crews are heading out into Dinkey and Ansel Adams Wildernesses to scout trails and clear trees.
Some of us are helping the Backcountry Horsemen over at Lake Thomas Edison, others are going into Dinkey Lakes loop.
One of the routes to Willow Meadow trailhead has been fixed - ask at the FS office when you get permits how to drive there, FS roads in that area can be like a maze. They have good maps.
