Instead of emailing or messaging the Admins or Mods with technical support questions or comments about the site, we prefer you check here to see if someone else has had the same difficulty or has made the same suggestion. What you're after might have already been posted and addressed here or within the FAQ. Hi, I was reading a post on the Fishing Hole where the Sensitive Folder was mentioned. I'd seen something like this a few years ago, and then it disappeared. I thought it might have been deleted, but TahoeJeff pointed me to it. I get the following error when I click on that forum though :
"You are not authorised to read this forum"
Why am I not authorized ? Do I need to be British ? (sorry, spelling joke )
I don't have any real deep and meaningful need to read whatever is in there, but was just curious. If there is some kind of policy, it would be nice to have it spelled out.
I believe it is a manual process for the Admins and Mods to add you to that list. The rule was 2 meaningful posts on the regular forum and then you're added by them. You more than qualify though, if that is the criteria still.
I just noticed that I am in the group "Newly registered users" for some reason (I registered in 2006, go figure ). I also see that I am not allowed to compose PM's, though I have replied to some. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
I just now logged in via the web interface (not Tapatalk) and took a look. No difference.
I guess it is not a huge deal. I don't really use PM's and what could possibly be in the Sensitive folder worth actually worrying about.
I deal with broken code every day -- it's part of my job to look into software problems and solve them. As the old saying goes, "never ascribe to malice what is more easily explained by stupidity"
I decided to try registering a new account, which I am now using. Perhaps the old account was somehow corrupted. Do I need to go and post some more, or can my new account be removed from "New Users" ?
