Thank you all:) I forgot I had Yosemite reservations in April and may try to do it as a day hike from Tenaya Lake, weather permitting.

Weather may be fine, but I doubt the road will be open to Tenaya Lake in April.

In April, starting from Tenaya Lake might make a dynamite cross country skiing trip, except that it would take you two days to get there on skis.
