Some Black and Whites...
Since I've been a bit bored lately, I've been trying to "perfect" my B/W conversions. Here's a some new and old shots...
Olmsted Point, Yosemite NP
Castle Rock, Sequoia NP
Tenaya Peak, Yosemite NP
Mount Conness, Yosemite NP.

Those are nice!

Great pictures Mike!
Mount Conness was my favorite also. I've always liked black and white for those same reasons, Madeintahoe. Color photographs are beautiful, for sure, but sometimes the color itself becomes the main focus. Black & whites show depth, contrasts, and textures of the subject. It would be hard to say which is a favorite between color and black & white.
Fortunately, with all you great photographers on the Board, we don't have to make a choice!
