Starbucks in Yosemite
Professional Sierra Landscape Photographer
I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I'll save my powder for intrusions like the radio tower atop Mt. Hoffman, dams in the Minarets area, Mono Lake diversions, and other issues that are orders of magnitude more important to me.

Re: Starbucks in Yosemite
I have to agree with Dave, There are a lot of bigger issues we have to worry about, especially now with the Trump administation. However, I wonder about Lisa Cesaro and her belief that a Starbucks will "enhance the visitor experience." What else does she have in mind? I don't want or need Aramark to "enhance" my experience. Yosemite does not need enhancement.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

Maybe a complimentary coffee with every wilderness permit check-in?LMBSGV wrote:I have to agree with Dave, There are a lot of bigger issues we have to worry about, especially now with the Trump administation. I had thoughts of a zip line from the diving board on HD down to the Ahwahnee? Maybe a bed of nails at the bottom and if you survive, a free cup of Starbucks?
Mark will look good in his barista costume if he can get coffee lingo down..

Look at it this way--one more line that you don't have to get in that will divert people away from other places in the park that you want to visit!

I'd prefer a complimentary cold beer at the end of the trip.Maybe a complimentary coffee with every wilderness permit check-in?

I see it as a non issue. Like others, bigger issues worth people's time: how is getting the original names back campaign going?
