Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Thankful for my good health. Without that, all the other things I am thankful for would likely not happen.

Thankful for my self-sufficient, successful, well-washed heirs, who will likely only inherit a few old beat-up tents and backpacks.

Thankful for my 98 year old mother, still independent, who gives me hope that I can backpack into my 80's.
