New users funneled into a pre-submittal queue?

It's just an idea and if the concept doesn't exist in phpbb, I'm good with it.

On the first post from anyone, it's put in a moderation queue. Then the powers that be, decide its a good idea or not to let it post. It would stop saturating the forum with what we've seen lately.

That is a good idea. I have reported at least 20 of these garbage posts. Perhaps the person even has to submit an application telling about himself/herself before being accepted and allowed to post? Anybody know what language all that stuff's been in?

Its Russian. Google translate works pretty well to tell you what a post says in English and it tells you the source language. We have one here sleeping but hasn't posted yet..

It is starting to feel like this site is on some weird high school/college curriculum in Russia on how to spam bomb an internet site...

The fetish with the Campfire has switched to Cross Country Passes.. Just seems odd.

We have Patrickfloop and Jeffreymup queued up for deletion. We need this feature. Good ol' Jeffery hasn't posted yet, but the profile looks like deletion given the .ru domain.

If one gains a login, and then sets up their profile with links to Russian sites, almost an auto-delete upon that update, unless funneled to moderation.

Sorry for the inconveniences everyone, but no feature changes will be made until things slow down a few months from now and the site can be shut down for a short period.
