Professional Sierra Landscape Photographer
I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

Info provided by the investigator for social media:
"Tree was found at 38.0431, -119.585936 in Rancheria Creek in Kerrick Canyon. She was about 1 kilometer downstream of the trail crossing. It is unknown if she had moved downstream or upstream from the trail before trying to cross. Rangers on scene stated the creek was still 3 to 4 feet deep in places with enough current to cause you to lose footing if you were not careful."
May she rest in peace.

If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.
