The United States Forest Service wishes to improve Reds Meadow Road to increase safety, facilitate emergency response, and improve the deteriorated condition of the roadway.
This planning and environmental linkage (PEL) project is a coordinated effort between the United States Forest Service (USFS) and Federal Highway Administration Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD) to evaluate options to improve Reds Meadow Road, which provides access into Reds Meadow Valley (the valley) from State Route 203.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
