Here's my version of a DIY Sawyer Mini Gravity Water Filtering System. The weight and size of the Sawyer Mini is great, but I don't like the idea of having to squeeze the bag, and even worse is filling up a bag through the narrow mouth. And off-the-shelf bags with open access to the bag bottom are a bit pricey. Here's a homemade option for bottom-filling your dirty bag and sealing it back up.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
