Official INYO-SEKI SAR / Overdue Hiker (Resolved)

"We are asking for the public’s assistance –
Inyo Sheriff's Dispatch was notified on Monday October 17th at approximately 6:00pm that hiker Robert “Bob” Woodie, a 74-year old man from Manhattan Beach, CA had not returned from a four-day backpack. According to the reporting party Mr. Woodie began hiking on Thursday October 13th out of South Lake over Bishop Pass to Dusy Basin and potentially Barrett Lakes; he was due out on Sunday. If you have any information that may assist in this search please contact Inyo Sheriff at 760-878-0383.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

We are trying to assess the weather/trail conditions in the area from 10/13-10/16, contacting Parchers Resort to see if they can shed some light on this. If you were in the area or even North or South of the Bishop area and have any first hand info on the weather conditions on the above dates, please chime in.
Contacting SEKI and Inyo to get additional info about Roberts expereince and abilities so those of us who are familiar with this area can chime in on possible location he may be found.

Mav, I know it's just incidental but I was at South Lake (not in the back country) on the morning of 10/13. The WX was cold and mostly clear.
