Eastern Sierra under thunderstorms
At the Vons in Mammoth. Picked up my Pine Creek permit out of the night box and should be at trailhead by sunset. Then night hike to Pine Lake by midnight. Big t-storms today all along Sierra east front. After weeks of dry hot this will do wonders for crest and Eastside back country.

Re: Eastern Sierra under thunderstorms
I'm doing a night hike tonight, but I won't be starting 'till midnight and hike through morning and meet Oleander and Viki and maybe Mav for breakfast tomorrow morning at their campsite. That's the plan, anyway.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.
