Clouds will dissipate this morning, as the upper closed low we have been experiencing moves on into Colorado. High pressure builds in today giving us mostly clear skies and windy conditions. Mammoth received 11 inches of snow at the Main Lodge, about 6 inches more than was forecast.
Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Partly cloudy then clearing later in the day. Daytime temps in the upper 60s/lower 70s and evening lows in the upper 30s. North wind 10 - 20 with wind gusts of 30 mph.
Today for Mammoth and the Mono Valleys: Partly cloudy in the morning clearing later in the day. Northwest wind 10 - 15 with wind gusts of 30 mph. High temperature range 52 - 62 and evening lows 25 - 35.
Tuesday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny and windy. Northwest wind 15 - 25 mph with wind gusts of 45 in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures in the lower 70s and evening lows in the mid 30s.
Tuesday for Mammoth and the Mono Valleys: Partly cloudy and very windy. Southwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 45 in town and as much as 70 mph over the Crest later in the day. High temperature range 51 - 62 and evening lows 15 - 25.
A trough out of the Gulf of Alaska will move through our area on Tuesday night producing windy conditions but little in the way of precipt. Then, another storm out of the Gulf of Alaska will pass through our area on Friday with a much better shot of snow in the High Country and rain in the Valleys.
