Cottonwood Lakes Condition
My wife and I are getting the itch to head to our favorite meadow in the Cottonwood Lakes area. Has anyone been there recently? Is the Horseshoe Meadows Road open and clear?
Thanks,
Ken
Thanks,
Ken

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Last Friday I called the Inyo County Road Department and they said Horseshoe Meadows Road will be opened on May 20th.

Re: Cottonwood Lakes Condition
Just spoke with Inyo NF today, said they're not sure about it opening now on Friday. Vacillating because of the weather apparently. Sounds like a good chance it might, though.

I'm fairly certain the road opened yesterday. I wonder though, with this weekend's system if there will be snow falling up there.

Re: Cottonwood Lakes Condition
Road did indeed open this Friday, I went up there after coming from Tioga Pass area. Hiked Muah Mountain on Saturday and hit very little snow on the trail. Nice weather, overall. Will try and post a photo looking towards Langley later.
