R03/R01 TR: Miter Basin - Cottonwood Lakes 08/10 - 08/12 2012

I took a short loop trip over Cottonwood Pass into Miter Basin and out via OAP last weekend. The daily storms made for some beautiful sunsets and kept the waterfalls going.
Storms approaching on the way in via the PCT.
I climbed over the use trail from lower Soldier Lake into Miter Basin.
Some sunset photos.
The countless waterfalls and grassy benches made exploring easy.
I stopped at about 12,200 feet for lunch, then headed back down to Sky Blue Lake.
I camped at the ridge overlooking lower Soldier Lake. Some storms rolled through the last night.
Then another hail storm really kicked in as I approached upper Rock Creek on Sunday on the way out. I was reluctant to keep going until I met a few groups coming down from Langley.
