I love these games....My guess is off 395 by Mammoth Geothermal Plant, just off old HW 203 near the crossing of Mammoth Creek....better known as the Casa Diablo area where the actual establishment sat near the present day Geothermal Plant. The era of the car coincides with that of Casa Diablo.

My fist guess was somewhere off Antelope Springs Road, but the angle looking south to Laurel Morrison and McGee over willows in the background indicated a dirt road spur off the old HW between the Casa Diablo (geothermal plant) and Mammoth Creek road crossing. Anyhow its somewhere in that area No?

Year sounds about right. I didn't look closely enough to see the make. Think the bullet holes were from target shooters or Bonnie and Clyde types?
