Sierra Valley in Sierra County

Last Saturday I braved the icy roads to visit the Sierra Valley between Sierraville and Loyalton. The outside temperature display on my dash showed 9 degrees when I crested Little Truckee Summit, and was at 18 degrees when I reached the valley floor at Sierraville, 4957' elevation.
