Ski without a safety release

Be careful when skiing with bindings that don’t have a safety release. A fall is more likely to result in a broken ankle or other injuries. Many backcountry ski bindings, such as the Voile Switchback, don’t have a safety release. I won’t be skiing with such bindings anymore.

Does anybody remember heel locators for 3-pin cross country bindings?
They caused only one torn-up knee for me.

You should also never use quill pens! Those things are so messy!

Yes, thank you. Recovering from surgery.
It was just a routine fall. Not high speed. Not steep.

Oh no! Let me guess, drawing on my fairly recent experience: broken "tipfib," along with the attendant ligament damage? 6 to 8 weeks for the bone, and unknown for the other? All the best Tomas, hope to still see you this summer... or fall?
