High Sierra Topix

I picked up a Spot Gen 3 for not much money off Ebay. Trying to figure out if it is working or not. Put in new batteries. Push the power button and all of the lights flash green a couple of times then the power light slowly flashes green every few seconds. The manuals aren't very clear but it seems like the gps light should come on. It never comes on. Even if I leave it outside for 15 or more minutes. I know that I get a gps signal at my house because my fishfinder and my handheld gps quickly lock onto gps.

What should happen when I power the Spot on?

Unbelievably, I still use the Gen 3. First, make sure your subscription with Spot is up to date and use only lithium batteries. When you power it on, green lights flash then just the power light blinks green if it has booted up correctly.

Thanks. I found a website that explains all of the lights and how they blink/flash. I also found a manual that describes a test sequence to follow to check if things are working properly. My Spot passed all of the tests. So I think that it is good to go. Except for a pot cozy I think that I have all of my gear sorted out.
