Bears at Island Crossing

Hi All - i've seen some earlier posts about bears commonly lingering too persistently around the camp sites at Island Crossing, en route to Iva Belle. Does anyone have any more recent beta on this? Relatedly, are there decent spots to camp between Island Crossing and Iva Belle? TIA.
