Denatured Alcohol Resupply

Long timer reader, first time posting. Does anyone know if the Lodgepole Market in Sequoia stocks denatured alcohol? I’m doing a multi-week loop of the Southern Sierra, staying south of the usual resupply points, and am puzzling together the resupply, which is as bemusing as securing a permit.
Much obliged.

Highly doubtful given that the State of California has banned sales of Denatured Alcohol as a cleaning solvent and is discouraged for usage as a fuel in fire prone areas such as the southern Sierra. Check with the National Forests you will be visiting, they will give you the best advise on the legality of using an alcohol stove within their respective jurisdictions.

That link should take you to the Sequoia national forest order relating to fire restrictions currently in force, wherein they are pretty specific about stoves that are acceptable under the restrictions; looks to me like alcohol stoves are not allowed. Adjacent forests If you have another option I would use that.

links you to the SIerra National forest order. Similar wording, though this may have more room for interpretation, but still states clearly your stove must have a shutoff valve.

Excellent resources thank you. I found the fire restrictions specific to SEKI, which states Gas, propane, alcohol (with and without a shutoff valve) and tablet/cube stoves are permitted.
But I did not know that CA has banned commercial sales of denatured alcohol, so I’ll move on to another system.

alcohol stoves in the Sierra...pretty much limited to yellow heet (unless that is banned too). if flying in, use either Reno or Las Vegas as airports and buy denatured alcohol enroute. I broke down and got a cannister stove to avoid the hassle.

Pretty sure you can call the market and ask them.

Denatured alcohol is still available grocery and drug stores in Cali; just that it cannot it cannot be used in certain application.
