Final Spring Pass Clearing Update Sonora Pass (State Route 108)

TUOLUMNE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will formally reopen Sonora Pass on State Route 108 today at 3:00 p.m. after five weeks of snow removal operations. Our District 10 Long Barn and District 9 Sonora Junction Maintenance crews made great progress clearing Sonora Pass this season exceeding our annual goal of reopening State Route 108 prior to Memorial Day.

120W to the Tioga Pass entrance is now open as well. Tioga Rd within the National Park remains closed.
