Hey everyone, thinking of heading in to Warren Lake with a bunch of friends, wondering if anyone has been in the area north of Donner Summit recently. There was a report of a lot of snow a few weeks ago on another site, wondering if anyone has visited more recently? We were thinking of going in a week and hoping for a reasonable amount of snowmelt and maybe the disappearance of mosquitos. (LOL).

Viewed from the Mount Rose area on July 24, there appeared to be a lot of snow still in the bowl on the east side of Castle Peak to Basin Peak, mostly above 8000 feet. But that was two weeks ago.
