Re: SIERRA INSPIRATION PHOTOTHON!
Looking toward Colby Pass/Lake area from Big Wet Meadow in the evening. I used a 200mm lens on a Nikon D50. SEKI, August 2008.

This kind of dedication is inspirational. Mike, at 8yo thought this was absolutely worth the effort (not while in the REALLY cold water, but later). We were within a few miles of where the snow was melting really rapidly in early July, therefor the really cold water. Mike was obviously in (cold) pain.

Re: SIERRA INSPIRATION PHOTOTHON!
Breakfast at Wilber May - take bait - good fishing.
Mike and I had hiked from Peter Pande Lake (s) that day. We stopped at "May" Lake but it was only a large tarn. Upon closer map observation I noted that the word May was part of Wilber May. I had thought there were 2 lakes - Wilber and May. The word May was close to the large tarn. We camped at WM, sharing it with another group (2 men). It was our only shared place on that trip of 5 nights. We had come over Duck Pass. Can you believe I carried that chair and that heavy tent that whole trip? Mike was 8 or 9 yo and didn't carry very much.

Re: SIERRA INSPIRATION PHOTOTHON!
Nice...When someone asks, what makes a great fishing photo?
BTW...(Hate most dead shots), but -
For me, this type will do nicely!
Like the single ring.
Thanks,
Mark
