Hiked the Stevens Trail today heading into the canyon of the North Fork American River from Colfax off I-80. Wildflowers still blooming well. Lots of cream colored bush monkeyflower in full bloom as well as a yellow flower (madia?). Various blue flowers also well represented. The river is high and can be a background for some photos. You have to walk at least a mile to get to the good stuff.
