Haven't posted anything in quite a while and this thread really speaks to me...

Others have mentioned it but for me one of the most impressive mountains I have ever seen by shear size and just unbelievable proportions is Mt. Williamson from Tyndall. It's huge when viewed from others angles too, especially from the South. Just look at this hulking beast.

It was so beastly looking it made us reconsider our plans to climb it the next day... we were feeling a bit lazy indeed.

It's unclear when it was taken. It's from a Sierra Club book published both late 1919 and summer 1920. So the picture must have been taken earlier. I looked up the photographer Herbert Wendell Gleason but I can't find the date he took it.

Love to see Maverick and Dave camping together and watch where/when each chooses to photograph during the day. Been on two trips with Maverick and quickly decided I did not have the patience to be a real photographer. Fishing is much easier! and rewards much quicker.
