Maverick -
If the goal is to do a filtered search using the TH codes, I already see a problem where some folks might type ROx instead of R0x (i.e. the letter O instead of a "zero). Gazelle's recent report (just posted today) has this error (great respect for Gazelle, by the way).
Is this something you (as a Moderator) can quickly glance at once a day and just correct the typo ?

Yes, I noticed that earlier and corrected it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

You can know put multiple codes per trip, if your doing the JMT south bound: R02/R03/R04/R01/R03

I noticed that people who are not logged in can see photo attachments in the new Trip Reports forum. I like it this way. It makes it easy for friends and family to access trip reports without needing to create accounts. Is it going to stay this way?
In the other forums on HST, people who are not logged in can't see photo attachments. I don't know why.

Yes, it is. That was one of the reasons it is accessible to all, Tomba.

I will look into this.

To narrow your searches to entries from only Inyo NF (R03) into SEKI (R01) and exclude any entries from the Sierra NF (R04) and Sequoia NF (R05), input +R03 +R01 -R04 -R05
If you want trip reports starting from North Lake>Piute>Evo>Dusy>South Lake, input +R03 +R04 +R01 -R05 -R02
Subtracting the last two will eliminate any trips starting from Yosemite (JMT) and Twin Lakes (SHR) from showing up in your search results.
Make sure you put spaces as in the above examples for it to work.

Would it make sense to change the title of the pinned post in the Trip Reports forum from "Trip Report Info Read Before Posting" to something like "Trip Report Info, Section Codes, Read Before Posting"?
Right now, a user sees mysterious codes with no easy way of knowing where to find their explanation.
Additionally, to see the section codes explained, the user has to go to the pinned post, click on a link in that post, go to a second page of a thread and scroll to the middle. It might help to have the codes upfront, in the first post, or even put the codes on a dedicated page that is not a forum post / thread.

Hi Tomba,
I started an Excel spreadsheet last week with the regional codes, that I will be uploading and posting at the top of the Trip Reports thread. Will also consolidate all the threads at that time, probably on Monday.
