Just had a convesastion with a Mokelumne Wilderness Ranger near Tahoe. We were talking about doing some trail work in the area, and he laughed and said that right now the trailheads in his area were all snowed in--no reason to start planning for work until we got some more hot weather.
If we can't get in to clear the trails, you're going to find a lot of snow hiking--and trying to find--the trails.
