Add another voice of encouragement here. Inner strength is a surprisingly powerful thing. One day at a time.

Stay strong and get well soon. Looking forward to many more submissions from your sketchbook and tales of Sierra trout fishing in the future.

Eric's update said:
It'll require about 1 month of intensive chemotherapy,...
He also mentioned the likelihood of a complete recovery, which is the serious great news.

I have to ask though, will there be the usual loss of hair? If so, some of us are wondering if Mark would consider auctioning off his shock of white hair? ;) Sorry, a weak attempt at levity under dire circumstances. Do let us know how the financial aspect is working out, if it is an issue. Ian and Lizzie, et al.

I just joined so that I could send my prayers and best wishes to Mark on another board. He'll be surprised to see me here considering that I'm on the other side of the continent!

Here's to ya, buddy! I'm still planning to take you up on your offer someday. Heal well!

As I understand it he will be losing his hair. What a sight and he is sure to get some grief from me!

Mike,

Do you have an address for the best place to send stuff to Mark? I have Bryan's number, but thought you might already have an address.
PM me if you'd rather not post it.

Get well soon.

I enjoy many of your posts, especially "Another solo hiking adventure" stories in "Meeting people in the backcountry" thread and your watercolor paintings and sketches.
