Re: Bear canisters?
i don't go to eat. I go to fish. eating them is a bonus if available, but I don't head out to fish-less lakes if that is what you mean.
If I were closer to where Markley was heading in, I'd loan him my can.. a 2-nighter for 2 people. that's a small can unless you go gourmet.

Garcia.. the new wag bag..Jimr wrote:In fact, I think those Garcias should be open able at both ends. One end for incoming food and one end for outgoing food. Food container and port-a-potty all in one.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

It's a gold mine of an idea that I've had for some time now. No more squatting when you can sit on your can.

Never happen, totally unsanitary, there would be a massive outbreak of Giardia, and others illness, the only goldmine would be for the people suing you.

In Yose, I stumble over caches of garcias for some of their "research projects" from time to time. feel free. But, it's probably not a good idea, DNA wise.. They actually leave them over winter as well, with plenty of coleman white gas next to them.

No way. It could even be lined wag bag style. A false bottom that pushes from one end to the other as food is eaten and, well, what used to be food is deposited? A veritable Gold Mine.
