I like it too. I especially like the way you've managed to hide all the wind. It is a beautiful place, and you've captured it.

This may be more than anyone here wants to know....but I was inspired by Marskor's attempt to show his process. Very cool. So I decided to try and do the same thing. Mine is a little less focused on drawing, and more on painting on layers of colors...if you look carefully, you can just barely see where I have sketched in a few outlines of forms...

Here's where I start--just a very light sketch, and then filling in the lightest areas of the painting.



Doesn't look like much. Then add in additional layers





And then I start adding in the details and the "things" This is where I also start focusing on getting the colors accurate--






Then the darker areas get the attention



And finally, the last touches, details, corrections, etc.

Very cool! You do really nice tree work.

Balz...nice work but...for whatever reason, cannot see it it anymore... (was there for a while but not now just the (-)...?).
Anyway, also liked the trees.

Let's talk about your first "light", background, application stage...not the blue water but the browns - the first colors put down. Instead of going/painting "dry on dry" here, try wetting the paper areas where the ground will be, (the paint will bleed and stop itself, only into the wet, especially if carefully tilted) and painting (charging?) paint into this wet area with very light colors (more than one...browns and yellows)...letting them mix on the paper and then allow them to dry.
After all is dry you can then multi-layer over this background area - whatever way you want, but the first subtle underpainting will add a lot to the forest floor.
