The pass was under 3 to 6 feet of snow. No crampons or snowshoes are necessary.
Trail again had areas under large snow patches muddy or under water easily traversed.
Bench lake is clear of ice and snow but the three lakes above Taboose are just starting to thaw out.
Middle fork of the Kings is going off from the melt we did not go down to the river and stay off the Muir.

Thanks for the update! Did you end up staying on the north side of the creek after bypassing the 1st crossover point or did you find an alternate crossing point?
