That is an interesting link to the pulk design. A buddy of mine made this one that I am dragging along during one of our snow camping adventures and the design is almost identical! I know for a fact that my friend created his at least 8+ years ago, and I doubt he posted anything on the design, so the fact that they are so similar is pretty cool/creepy...

Nice pic of a sled in use, Dave. and it looks like the struts are long enough for use with skis. Nice.

Good stuff, Dave! That's essentially the design I'm favoring, with the addition of ~2ft outriggers on locking hinges to get through tighter spaces.
