It's smowing this morning here in Lake Tahoe @ 6300'.
Higher taxes never reduce the deficit. Governments spend whatever they take in and then whatever they can get away with.

Sonora pass is currently closed, as is Tioga pass in LVC (at the mono county line...is that the Yosemite entrance at the top of the pass?)
