I think that photo was taken around 7:30, so we probably missed each other by an hour or two.

The civic was there when I got back. Not sure where he headed if neither you nor I saw him.

Actually I did meet the two with the Civic at Whitewolf. Just as they arrived to start hiking they got a flat and put on the mini spare before they set off on the trail. They were headed down to the Tuolumne and up to Tuolumne Meadows.
