Yes, that god#$%^&*&ded slippery, too damned bright, flowers-covering stuff is pretty useless.... but it does thin the crowd....you can see, much of that area is still snow covered and Kibbie Lake itself is solid snow. Unless one is ice fishing, little reason to go there.

I think May is more likely, or June if I wait until my co-conspirator has a weekend free. I was in the Truckee area on Monday and around 7500 feet there were still a few feet of slushy snow, melting quickly.

Here is a look at the area on 4/20. Kibbie is ice free and the ridge is melting out pretty well.
