Recreation.gov shows that the Tuolumne Meadows campground sites are "unavailable" all the way through July 31, and then "Not yet released" starting August 1. Implies that the campground will open on August 1. The Yosemite park website says that half of the Tuolumne Meadows sites will be released for reservation on the 15th of the month two months in advance, meaning half of the sites for all of August will be released for reservation on June 15 (or maybe May 15 - depends on how they count). The other half of the sites will be released on a rolling basis two weeks in advance, for example, on Friday, July 25, you can reserve sites for Friday, August 1, on Monday, July 28 for Monday, August 4, etc.

Hello Sam,
Sounds like a tough one, although it could be worse. We had a friend with a wife for whom daily clean, bright white sheets were the req. They were pretty much relagated to the pricey cabin scene. :( I'm sure it is sometimes a prissy husband right? Any stories out there to balance this act? My English friend had no idea idea how to wipe his arse with anything other than paper... and no incination to learn about it. I reckon burning shitty paper must itself be an unpleasantry. I wouldn't know.
Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.
