Very obvious advice, but my suggestion for altitude is to bring some advil. The most likely issue you'll have is a headache at camp at the end of the day. I'm someone who resists medicine of all kinds, and when this happens to me and I finally agree to take an advil, it's amazing how quickly the headache improves. So bring advil and drink plenty of water. Your altitude plans are gentle enough that I doubt you'll have any real issues.

Just a few day until we leave. Thanks for the feedback everyone, especially those who said keep an eye on the weather. Perfect conditions this week, next week calls for snow. In September. I’m ot used to that, but honestly to me it’s just another experience. Luckily my daughter is oddly excited that we might see some snow falling this early in the year so I’ll take it.

I’ll type up a TR on our return, and with us now hitting the empty nester status I’ll start posting more TR’s from the east coast this winter as well. (I know, not nearly as exciting as Sierra trips, but we do what we can.)
